Three year (full time) Bachelor’s in Law (LL.B) is the major programme which aims at imparting professional education and training in accordance with the modern legal techiniques to enable budding lawyers to handle legal profession effectively and meet the challenges of globalization of the 21^st Century. Excellent teaching, practical training programmes, Moot Courts, legal aid programmes, Court visits and attractive environment are main features of LL.B programme.

                The LL.B programme consists of six semesters, each of five to six month’s duration. The first two Semesters are devoted to a comprehensive core course with four sessionals. In the their third and fourth Semester there is practical training to be imparted in various subordinate Courts and Moot Court in the College. Same academic curriculum is followed in fifth and sixth Semester.

                The BA.LL.B(Five Year) programme consists of ten Semesters, each of five to six months duration. A candidate is required to pass 54 papers from 1^st to 10^th Semester including Clinical & Seminar Courses. The examination comprises of : Theory papers, Moot Court(s), Clinical programmes, Seminars, Continuous Assessment & Viva Voce.

SELECTION PROCEDURE:

The admission for the LL.B ( Three Years ) Programme is based on the candidate’s performance in written test. The Entrance Test is conducted by the University of Kashnmir. To be eligible for admission, a candidate should have passed B.A/B.Sc/B.Com or its equivalent degree recognized by the University of Kashmir or any other University with at least 45% marks. For five years (full time) BA.LL.B programme a candidate should have passed 10+2 exam. From J&K Board of School Education or equivalent thereto and secured at least 50% marks.
